Am I Fit Enough For THis Trip?
We are so glad you asked, and chances are if you made it this far you probably are. Please bear in mind, this is a cycling vacation and not a race. For training on the bike we recommend that you ride at least 100 miles a week in the 3 months prior to your trip. If that sounds like a daunting task, please remember we have training rides both in person and virtually to prepare you. Please read the linked training guide for more information.

Do I Need to Bring Special Cycling Gear?
- Cycling shorts are designed to provide extra padding when spending the whole day in the saddle. You’ll be glad to have them—don’t forget the chamois cream!
- If you bring your own cycling shoes, you must bring your own pedals. If you’ve never used clip-in pedals before, we don’t recommend using them on tour.
- Arm and leg warmers are essential for cooler weather. Wear them with your short-sleeve jersey and shorts for lightweight, easy-to pack, and effective warmth.
- Bike gloves are a preference, but are recommended on our tours. The padding in gloves can ease arm, shoulder, and joint fatigue. Dressing for the Weather The location and time of year of your tour can bring all kinds of weather, from extreme heat to relentless rain. Check extended forecasts before your trip and pack accordingly.
- Ensure your passport is valid for 3-6 months after the return date.
- Call your bank/credit cards to notify them of upcoming travel.
- Please limit your luggage to one medium-sized suitcase and one carry-on.
How Large Is the grouP?
We limit out group size to 12 guests per trip. We have a 4:1 Guest to Guide Ratio. Sometimes riders in our group will go at a different pace, and we will divide into different groups along the route, but we will always be within 10 minutes of each other.

The Essential Travel Packing LIst
While forgetting something like pants or socks can be annoying, they're generally easy to replace. So, aside from the obvious packing necessities like clothes, underwear, toothbrushes and other items, there are some essential items to keep in mind that aren't so easily replaceable— especially if you're faced with an unexpected delay or change of plans due to COVID-19. Make sure you add these to your vacation packing list and, before you travel, do a last-minute check to make sure all of them are present and accounted for. In addition, if flying, consider putting them in a carry-on bag in case your luggage is lost:
- Mobile Device(s)
- Device Charger(s)
- Travel Adapters
- Eye Glasses/Contact Lenses & Solution
- Extra Masks/Hand Sanitizer (COVID-19)
- Wallet/Purse (with emergency cash, credit cards)
- Essential Medications (consider taking extra in case of any delays due to COVID-19 quarantine, etc.
- Order currency online
- Travel Documents (driver's license/ID, visa, passport, boarding passes, tickets)
- House/Car Keys (for your return home)
- Rain Jacket
